United Rotorcraft Solutions has worked closely with the FAA Rotorcraft Directorate for the past seven years to gain approval for NVIS compatible white lighting in civil aviation and steer regulation governing its use. The use of night vision goggles is a great enhancement to safety for SAR, EMS and Law Enforcement operations.
URS and Ahlers, a manufacturer for aircraft instrumentation, designed a modification utilizing external NVIS White filters of glass or poly carbon applied to both instruments and displays. An evaluation of the light source, whether incandescent, florescent, LCD or LED will dictate the filter requirements. The filters are generally mounted in an aluminum frame and affixed over the instrument's bezel utilizing the existing instrument mounting screws. Alteration to the cockpit or airframe is minimized reducing installation time and expense.
We offer STC's for the Bell 206 series and 407 and the Eurocopter AS350B2 and AS350B3. Pending projects include the BK 117, EC130, EC135 and Bell 430 and the MD500 Series.
Along with these systems we provide Night Vision Goggles and Goggle certification. We have the latest technology available in ANVIS 6 Gen III goggles. These goggles out perform many ANVIS 9 goggles for less cost. Our average delivery in less then 60 days and the goggle set includes the Goggles, Mount, Low Profile Battery Pack, Carrying Case and Lens Covers.
URS has the capability to perform the Manufacturers recommended six month inspection and re-certify your goggles with a 72 hour turn time
